About this piece

🌾 A set of two nesting willow baskets, woven by hand in our family workshop in Lithuania from willow we grow ourselves. Each has a solid willow base, low flared sides, a broad plaited border and a slim woven band lower down; the arched handle is twisted from several rods and locked into the sides with bound collars. The small basket fits inside the large one.

The finish of the large basket and of the small one can be chosen separately in the options.

Use the large basket for vegetables, apples or cut flowers, and the small one for eggs, potatoes, mushrooms or bread.

Dimensions (approx.)
– Large basket: length 45 cm / 17.7 in, width 32 cm / 12.6 in, height 22 cm / 8.7 in
– Small basket: length 37 cm / 14.6 in, width 26 cm / 10.2 in, height 17 cm / 6.7 in

Care

Keep it dry and wipe with a slightly damp cloth if needed. Kept away from radiators and long damp spells, handwoven willow lasts for decades.
