About this piece

🌾 A set of two oval baskets handwoven from willow in our family workshop in Lithuania. Each has a solid willow base, low flared sides, a thick plaited rim and a fine band around the lower body. The arched handle is twisted from several rods and bound into the sides with woven collars; the small basket fits inside the large one.

Take the large one to the market or garden, and use the small one for eggs, mushrooms, bread or herbs.

Care

Keep it dry and wipe with a slightly damp cloth if needed. Kept away from radiators and long damp spells, handwoven willow lasts for decades.
