About this basket
A large wicker blanket basket in a rounded oval with a tall arched handle, woven in our family workshop. Eight colour combinations, from pale gold to unpeeled brown.
Good for
Throw blankets in a living-room corner, a child's toys, magazines and knitting beside an armchair.
Why it lasts
Blankets and paper need air; the open weave lets fabric breathe instead of trapping must. The handle is bound into the rim at both ends, so lifting a full basket is easy.
