About this basket
A large rectangular wicker basket, 50 cm long, woven from a mix of unpeeled and peeled willow with a tall twisted handle and a deep plaited rim. Handwoven in our family workshop in Lithuania.
Good for
Market shopping, cut flowers or a basketful of apples; indoors it works as a firewood carrier, a magazine basket, or open storage for blankets.
Why it lasts
The twisted handle is bound into the sides with woven collars, and the deep plaited rim holds its shape at the edge where a basket takes the most knocks.
