About this basket
Two nesting willow baskets you put together yourself — choose the colour of the large basket and the small one separately: matching pale cream, matching deep brown, or one of each. Woven over a solid willow base with a broad plaited border and a slim woven band lower down. Handwoven in our family workshop in Lithuania.
Good for
A week of vegetables, windfall apples or cut flowers in the large basket; eggs, potatoes, mushrooms or a loaf in the small one. Indoors: logs by the stove, onions in the pantry, hats and gloves by the door.
Why it lasts
The arched handle is twisted from several rods and locked into the sides with bound collars. The small basket nests inside the large one for storage.
